1. Who we are

The Valet Club, Willowbrook Shopping Centre, Savages Wood Road, Bradley Stoke, BS32 8EF, is the data controller for this website. Questions about your data: hello@thevaletclub.co.uk.

2. What we collect and why

We only collect what we need to run your booking and reply to you:

• Bookings — your name, phone, email, vehicle and chosen service, stored in Square (our booking and payment system) so we can carry out the work, send reminders and take payment. Card details go to Square directly; we never see or store them.
• Enquiries and quotes — the details you type into our contact forms, saved to your customer record in Square and emailed to the studio so we can reply.
• Newsletter — your email address if you sign up, stored in Square and used only for our own offers. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• Review requests — after a completed booking we may email you once to ask for a Google review.

Legal basis: performing the contract you asked for (bookings), our legitimate interest in replying to you and asking for feedback, and your consent for the newsletter and analytics cookies.

3. Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people find useful. It runs in cookieless mode until you choose otherwise:

• Essential storage only — the site needs no cookies to work. Your cookie choice itself is remembered in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, so we don't ask you on every visit.
• Accept — Google Analytics may set its _ga cookies (up to two years) so repeat visits are counted as one visitor. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store your IP address.
• Reject non-essential — no analytics cookie is set. Google receives only cookieless, aggregated counts of visits and pages, which cannot be linked to you or followed between visits.
• No advertising cookies — we don't use advertising, remarketing or social-media tracking cookies, and we never sell your data.

To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser (local storage) and the banner will ask you again.

4. Who we share data with

• Square — bookings, payments and customer records.
• Resend — delivery of booking confirmations, reminders and replies to your enquiries.
• Google — cookieless analytics for everyone; the analytics cookie only if you accept it.
• Vercel — hosts this website.

Each provider only processes data on our instructions and under its own privacy and security commitments.

5. How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are kept for six years for accounting. Enquiries are kept while we may still need to reply or quote. Newsletter sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Email or call us and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
